The climate crisis has long been making itself clearly felt in Europe with floods, hail, storms and fires. The long-term costs for the economy due to the consequences of climate change are likely to be higher than the investment in a global transition to ecological sustainability.

We need solutions on the product and process side in order to produce in a way that is resource-friendly and produces low emissions. What is conceivable and feasible? Modern sailing technology for cargo ships. Wind turbines with recyclable rotor blades made of fiber composite material and disassembly technologies for industrially manufactured products. Solutions for carbon capture and storage also need to be developed. At the Fraunhofer IPT, we research and advise customers in the field of green tech.
