We designed a technology monitoring system for an automotive manufacturer, filled it with content in two specific fields of application and monitored it over several years.
The aim of the project was to set up and implement a technology radar for initially two and later three fields of application and technology.
In the first step, we worked with the client to define the purpose and applications of technology monitoring so that our experts could then design a customized technology radar for the company. In the second step, evaluation criteria for technologies were derived on this basis using the company's strategic objectives. In the third step, this enabled our experts to identify and evaluate relevant technologies in the context of the digitalized production of e-machines in specific technology scouting sessions. In the fourth step, our experts presented the results to the customer on a quarterly basis in a management summary and entered them into the digital tool of the technology radar for tracking purposes.
We developed a customized technology radar for the customer's preliminary production development and implemented it in a software tool. The customer also received an overview of relevant innovations and existing technologies in two or three fields of application. As part of continuous monitoring, we provided the client with a quarterly management summary.
